How are we supported?
IHN of Spokane relies primarily upon the local community.
However, we do search for grants and contributions from outside to insure the
children and families we serve have what they need to regain and sustain their
independence. Our financial support for the past year has come from:
- Churches 29%
- Individuals 23%
- Grants/Foundations/Corporations 43%
- Other sources, including special events 5%
How is the money spent?
- Program services/Case management 64%
- Day Center operations 13%
- Administrative operations 17%
- Other expenses including training and memberships
6%
What can you do to help?
Volunteering opportunities:
- Day Center Morning Host
- Day Center Weekend Host
- Prepare newsletter or other bulk mail offerings
- Driving guest families to appointments
- Help moving furniture or other household items
into a new 'home' for families leaving IHN
- Mentoring for components of the Portfolio Project
- Repair and Maintenance of the Day Center
- Become a member of the Board of Directors
Financial contributions:
- $20 will provide gas money to enable a family to
get to appointments for a week.
- $30 will buy bus tokens for a family of 4 to get
around Spokane for 3 3/4 days.
- $50 will enable IHN to purchase personal use
items, health products, and other miscellaneous personal needs.
- If 100 people gave $100 each, we could provide
rental deposit assistance to every family leaving our Network.
- If 100 people gave $120 each, we could build the
child and family play area at the new Day Center.
- If 100 people gave $150 each, we could expand our
services to assist more families in the prevention of homelessness.
- If 100 people gave $200 each, we could add another
Case Manager to provide outreach services to those families who have moved
into their new home, and assist in sustaining their independence.
